先日、「Security Service Edge (SSE) 」という言葉を初めて知りました。
ガートナーが今年から提唱し始めた新しいセキュリティの概念だそうです。
今回は、「Security Service Edge (SSE) 」とは、どんなものか調べてみることにしました。

上記の記事を見てみると、
「Security Service Edge (SSE) 」とは、
Secure Access Service Edge（SASE）で提唱された「ネットワーク」と「セキュリティ」のうち、セキュリティの部分を示す言葉のようです。
ネットワークの部分を示す言葉は、マジッククアドラントの名称から「WAN Edge Infrastracture」と推測します。

SASEの中に「Security Service Edge (SSE) 」と「WAN Edge Infrastracture」が含まれ、「Security Service Edge (SSE) 」と「WAN Edge Infrastracture」を組み合わせることで、包括的なSASEプラットフォームを形成するようです。

今後、「Security Service Edge (SSE) 」も「SASE（Secure Access Service Edge）」と同様に世に浸透していきそうですね。
